DMINDER PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application dminder (“Application”) for mobile devices that was created by ontometrics. The Application is Comprehensive Vitamin D tracking app. Uses the GPS in your phone to figure out where you are on the planet then computes when you can get D, how much of it you can make, gives you a timer and in the paid version the ability to manage history and have the app estimate your levels on an ongoing basis.
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information
The application uses data you provide when you install it that includes some basic health info like birthday, weight, height. If you are using a health store it will integrate with it and get the data from there (we currently support Apple's Health and Samsung's S Health SDK). We do NOT disclose the data obtained to any third parties. Eventually we intend to support collection of anonymized data for research purposes but the current version never moves the data off your device.
Automatically Collected Information
In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Application. Right now we do not use that data nor do we share it with any third parties. We do not even have access to this information. It is stored on your device only.
Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the device?
No.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
No.
What are my opt-out rights?
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
Data is retained within the application. If you are using a health store, Samsung's or Apple's, when you delete the app it will ask if you want to retain the data it wrote to the store.
Children
The app is not downloadable by children.
Security
We play no part in safeguarding your data as we do not collect any of it from your device.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy here and in the release notes of whatever version made use of the new policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
Your Consent
By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
